West Seattle Cellars January Artist: Tatyana Brown
January 10 WSAW, 2013
6026 California Avenue SW
This month we welcome back Tatyana Brown, who we featured in 2011. Tatyana was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia. After an extensive education at the Russian and Hermitage Museums, she went on to earn a masters degree in architecture from the University of Architecture and Engineering in St. Petersburg. Tatyana has experimented in many media, including watercolor, pastel, and encaustics, but developed her unique style while working in engraving and lithography. She now creates her artwork here in her West Seattle studio.
Tatyana's art on display this month was inspired by the current “Elles” exhibition at SAM, and depicts women in everyday scenarios, done in a cubistic style.
While you enjoy Tatyana's artwork this Thursday, you can sample some tasty French wines, from the portfolio of J. Strecker Selections. Come for the art; stay for the wines. Or vice versa!
