Chaline Ouellet is originally San Francisco, CA. and has called Seattle home for years. A student of Art History, life and expressive drawing, Chaline is a self taught painter. Her extensive travels to visit the works and places that inspired many great paintings and painters. During her journey she 'painted' her way across Europe, Great Britain, Ireland, Central Asia and the Middle East, participating in art fairs, street art and small exhibits. Chaline is a published writer and poet, weaver, hat maker and gardener. Her Bachelor studies were completed in Horticultural Therapy, landscape design, and Ethnic Studies. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections.

My work is deeply inspired by music, place, faith, and the human condition. It is a visual journal of emotion, events, experience and growth portrayed in bold colour and line that explore and investigate the internal landscape. The paintings are interspersed with writings (poetry, lyrics, prayers).
