Clementine December Artist Jenny Fillius

December's Artwalk artist Jenny Fillius - "The work I create comes from my imagination first. These ideas get sketched out and eventually end up as artwork in recycled tin, or more accurately recycled decorative sheet metal. By repurposing used metal food containers, gleaned from dumpsters and many other sources; deconstructing them to be reconfigured into something other than their original form or intent, it becomes artwork as a still life or a narrative piece. "

Title of the piece:
Monsieur Thiebaud and his pet duck,a L'Orange
Recycled tin
5'' x 6''

We will have snacks, champagne and the Daily Sales Deal (changes every day in December, check our Blog).

Cupcake Royale December Artist Lynne Alexander

Artist: Lynne Alexander

Painting: From the Skyscraper series

Lynne’s parents were both rocket scientists. They raised her in a home without a television, in an environment that encouraged creativity.
As an artist, Lynne is a student of shape and color. Her work is boldly engaging. In her abstracts, Lynne combines patterns and form to create a more dramatic image. She allows her paintings to evolve by working with layers and adding texture with dimensional paint. In this way she is able to bring a fresh perspective and sense of adventure to her work.

Hotwire December Artist Wyn Bielaska

From Rust to Dust. Nibbles, wine and instore coupons and specials.

This collection of photographs from my CASE STUDY SHIP HULL SERIES
documents the sides of large CARGO CONTAINER SHIPS
that I came across in the dockyards of Seattle and Tacoma Washington, as well as Vancouver BC.
They are unaltered studies in color composition.

These are but an eyeful - badges from a pilgrimage –
Postage stamps encapsulating the pride and optimism of a nation.
As illustrations, gestures from the shoulder are described. Abstract patterns upon which gestures of the seemingly uncontrolled subconscious of a colossus are recorded.
Upon colors that ache like the unfolding of spring blooms, are the smears and rubbed markings, caustic pours, insatiable rot and corrosion that we inflict upon nature daily.

Nature shrieks back

Indeed these pictures are a celebration of the organic qualities of our most synthetic materials. Their ability to be transformed, their vulnerability to forces beyond even their mighty control, is laid bare.
