4.The newest miniature landscapes by Seattle artist, Jennifer Phillips, are connected by themes of soft light, warm autumn colors, and a soothing sense of calm. Her oil paintings on wood panel have often been described as contemporary realism. Trees and vast fields are focus of her subject matter and are inspired by her travels through Eastern Washington. These intimate miniatures are embellished with delicate surface cracks and, while timeless, have an almost antique-like feel. Her most recent show at Clementines titled "Small Travels", is surely to top your art walk experience! Come in and satisfy your holiday gift giving needs! For a preview please visit

17.Christine Brooks "the Urban Landscape" One of the things that I frequently encounter as I walk the surrounding areas near my small city dwelling are the hundreds of flyers and posters that people fasten to just about any surface they can; telephone poles, metal pipes, walls, you name it. Any piece of empty space is fair game, and in many cases, people tear down or simply paste over what someone may have put there only a short while ago.
Like the bark of an old tree, my eye often wanders to the textures and interesting visuals that these posters and their surroundings create. Just as in nature, the human and natural elements often alter those textures, creating new ones in their place. Digital SLR photos www.jerseygirlphotography.com
